1. Health & Vaccinations
I certify that my pet is in good health and is free from any contagious illnesses and parasites. I understand that it is my responsibility to keep my pet current on vaccinations as recommended by my veterinarian. I agree to inform Em’s Pup Cuts of any medical conditions, allergies, medications, injuries, behavioral concerns, or special needs prior to the grooming appointment.
2. Senior Pets & Medical Conditions
I understand that grooming may be physically or emotionally stressful for senior pets or pets with underlying health conditions. While every effort will be made to ensure my pet’s safety and comfort, I acknowledge that grooming may exacerbate pre-existing medical conditions. I release Em’s Pup Cuts from liability for complications related to undisclosed or pre-existing health conditions.
3. Aggressive or Difficult Behavior
I agree to disclose any history of aggression, biting, anxiety, or behavioral concerns before my pet’s appointment. If my pet displays aggressive or unsafe behavior during grooming, Em’s Pup Cuts reserves the right to stop or refuse services at any time for the safety of the pet and groomer. I remain responsible for the full grooming fee if the appointment cannot be completed due to undisclosed aggressive behavior.
4. Matted Coat Policy
I understand that severely matted coats can cause hidden skin conditions, bruising, cuts, irritation, or other issues that may only become apparent after grooming. If my pet is matted, I authorize Em’s Pup Cuts to remove the mats in the safest and most humane manner, which may require clipping the coat very short. I understand that dematting may not be in my pet’s best interest and that shaving may be the safest option. I release Em’s Pup Cuts from liability for any skin irritation, nicks, clipper irritation, redness, hematomas, or other conditions resulting from the removal of severe matting.
5. Accidents & Emergencies
Although every precaution is taken to ensure my pet’s safety, I understand that grooming equipment is sharp and accidents may occasionally occur. If an injury or medical emergency arises, Em’s Pup Cuts will make every reasonable effort to contact me immediately. If I cannot be reached and emergency veterinary care is deemed necessary, I authorize Em’s Pup Cuts to seek treatment for my pet. I understand that I am responsible for all veterinary expenses incurred.
6. Fleas, Ticks & Parasites
If fleas, ticks, and other parasites are found during grooming, I understand that Em’s Pup Cuts may recommend or require appropriate treatment before future appointments. I acknowledge that parasites may require additional cleaning and sanitation procedures and that additional fees may apply if disclosed in advance.
7. Mobile Grooming Environment
I understand that Em’s Pup Cuts provides one-on-one grooming services inside a mobile grooming vehicle. For everyone’s safety, I agree to keep children and other pets away from the grooming vehicle unless invited by the groomer.
8. Appointment, Cancellation & No-Show Policy
I agree to provide at least 48 hours’ notice if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.
9. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed upon. Additional charges may apply for excessive matting, difficult behavior, excessive coat condition, parasites, or services requested beyond the original estimate.
10. Photo Release (Optional)
I give / do not give permission for photos of my pet to be used on Em’s Pup Cuts’ website and social media. (Checked at signing — always your call.)
11. Release of Liability
I understand that grooming involves inherent risks, even when performed with reasonable care and professional skill. I release, waive, and hold harmless Em’s Pup Cuts Mobile Grooming, its owner, employees, and representatives from liability for injuries, illnesses, allergic reactions, complications arising from pre-existing conditions, or other unforeseen events that may occur during or after grooming services, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
